Patrick's personal ethos is one of learning from the past, thinking in the present and adapting to the future. Patrick is passionate about promoting the profession of financial planning and wealth management, studying success in business and simply connecting good people.
Patrick is a true connector, lover of all things entrepreneurial and is always looking for innovative ways of executing things with greater quality and faster. He brings a diversity of knowledge and experience to the table which includes strategic planning, business structuring, sales force management, mergers and acquisitions, change management and marketing. Patrick's career started in a financial planning institution, where he thrived in a practice management capacity. However a dominant entrepreneurial flair resulted in buying equity in a small financial planning business, transforming it into a true professional services firm with several offices and 20 + staff. This was successfully sold.
Patrick again returned to a corporate role, successfully growing the NSW and QLD distribution network from 5 financial planners to over 50 in one short year.
The entrepreneur in Patrick rose again for another successful venture - introducing the first true outsourcing business to the financial planning industry. SMEs were able to create scale via engaging Marketshare Solutions which was to boast over 200 core financial planning firms as clients.
However Patrick simply cannot resist connecting people and so needed to apply his core value of client first, interest in scaling technology, and extensive industry knowledge and contacts. He was to enter the world of recruitment and became formative in transforming the wealth management division of an established recruitment firm. But Patrick knew things could be done even better, hence the launch and growth of Barbican Recruitment.
